Brief Resume:
I received my Bachelors of Education from the
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. I value continued education and seek
out new information pertaining to my degree in Special Education: Early
Childhood by attending related conferences, seminars, and coursework. Prior to my position here at Cedar Grove-Belgium School District, I
provided early intervention services for children Birth-to-Three year olds
with special needs in Ozaukee County through the Birth-to-Three county
program. I accepted my position here at Cedar Grove-Belgium School
District in 2003.

Introduction to class:
I
have an early childhood classroom four days per week in the morning from
8:30-11:25. The children are ages 3-4 years old and are not yet school
aged. They meet eligibility criteria to participate in this small,
structured classroom to help promote their development, learning, and
growth. I also support children in their regular education setting (4K
and 5K), and within the community (i.e. childcare setting, home) who may
also need some assistance with their development. Children who qualify
for early childhood: special education services may be exhibiting some
challenges in two or more developmental areas (i.e. gross motor, fine
motor, social-personal, adaptive/self-help, cognitive/problem-solving,
and/ or language skills). Early intervention helps these children “catch
up” so that they can participate and interact with others meaningfully and
develop positive relationships with others.
