I was born and raised in Cedar Grove and am a graduate of Cedar Grove-Belgium High School.  I attended Northewestern College in Orange City, Iowa and received my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in special education.  I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Reading Instruction through Concordia University.

Kindergarten is a year filled with many different and fun experiences.  In kindergarten we learn to work together as a team and show respect for everyone around us.  Our reading and writing curriculum focuses on letter formation, identification and sounds along with many other important literacy skills.  In kindergarten our main goal is to encourage students to become lifelong readers and writers.  We also work on number recognition, counting and basic addition and subtraction skills.  All of these skills are learned through various hands on activities throughout the day.
