Brief Resume:

    I have a masters degree in reading education. I hold licenses in the areas of elementary education, learning disabilities, reading teacher, and reading specialist. I am also certified as a Reading Recovery teacher. I began teaching in Cedar Grove-Belgium in 1984 as a Learning disabilities teacher. In 1991, I accepted the reading specialist position. In 1996 the district adopted the Reading Recovery program which now takes most of my time.

Introduction to class:

   In my reading recovery program I work one on one with first graders who have difficult with learning to read. In remedial reading I work with a small group of children who need reinforcement of their reading skill. With my skills emphasized program I work on phonics, word recognition, reading fluency, writing sentences and brief stories.
