Brief Resume:
I received both my Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science
degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It is important
to me to maintain and enhance my skills as a speech therapist. As a
result, I have continued my education and training through
additional college courses, conferences, and seminars. After working
for a number of other school districts and agencies, I accepted a
job offer in the Cedar Grove-Belgium School District in 1992.
Presently, I work full time providing speech therapy to preschool
aged children, children receiving services in the early childhood:
special education program, and 4K and 5K students.

Introduction to class:
I work with students in my "speech room",
in various settings, and in the home and childcare environments.
Some of the challenges that the children experience that would allow
them to qualify for speech services may relate to: hearing losses,
harsh voice quality, speech that is difficult to understand,
difficulty using their language to interact with others, stuttering
behaviors, and complete absence of language. Once the children
qualify for speech services, they are very excited to learn new
skills, and typically, gains are made quickly.
