Brief Resume:

     After graduation from Goodrich HS in Fond du Lac in 1982, I earned a BA in Education from Marian College in Fond du Lac in 1986. I then taught 3 years at St. John the Baptist in Plymouth. Since 1990, I have taught 2nd grade here in the Cedar Grove-Belgium School.

Introduction to class:

     Second grade will continue to be another year of growth and change for your child! We will continue to strengthen reading skills by using the Houghton Mifflin reading series and guided reading. In my classroom, reading with expression and comprehension are emphasized. Spelling patterns and rules are taught through Spelling Connections. In penmanship, manuscript letters will be reviewed and lowercase cursive letters will be introduced. Writing skills will be taught through the 6 traits of writing. Hands-on math activities will be enjoyed in Everyday Math. Communities and the study of the world we live in is the focus of our Social Studies and Science units. Daily homework sheets will introduce the children to organizational skills and responsibility. I love teaching Second Grade here in the CG-B School! I look forward to working with you and your child.
