Roger Sandee Memorial Concession Stand

The Roger Sandee Memorial Concession Stand is a project to honor a special husband, father, grandfather, teacher, coach and friend.

First and foremost, he was a loving husband to Marilyn, father to Jeff (Sandy), Joel (Pam) and Shelli (Jim Obbink), and grandfather to Megan (Nick), Michael, Chad, Aaron, Travis, Justin and Brittany.

Roger taught history and social studies classes at CGB-HS from 1966-2000. Roger was a JV/assistant football coach for 30+ years for the Rockets. After his retirement he enjoyed watching his grandsons’ play Broncos football, encouraging them from the sidelines.

During his career at CGB-HS, Roger was also involved as a class advisor for the sophomore class, student council advisor, and a Model United Nation advisor.

Roger was also involved in many community service areas. He served on the Cedar Grove Village Board and Library Board for many years; he was a member of the committee forming the Eastern Shores County Library Board and served on that board for several years. He was active in the First Reformed Church. He was also a Merit Badge Counselor for Boy Scouts of America for 20+ years.
